"Teaching in Thailand was one of the best things I did in 2012; one of my biggest achievement that year. I learnt so much about myself, Thai culture, food and the people within a short space of time. TEFL Heaven really helped with the transition from moving to a new, fascinating, vibrant beautifully aesthetic part of the world. I have now moved to South Korea to teach following my adventure in Thailand. This is the effect of teaching in Thailand for six weeks with TEFL HEAVEN! I have many stories I will be sharing with my children and grandchildren about my travels around the world. See you soon Thailand and thank you SO much for TEFL HEAVEN for the support and experience. Great team and company!"

"I look back on my time in Thailand and taking part in the volunteer project, with fondness. The whole experience was incredible and by far one of the best things Iíve done! I would do it all over again tomorrow if I could! If you are thinking about doing something like this, my advice would be the following Ė donít think, DO IT!! I can guarantee wouldnít regret it! And If you go with TEFL Heaven, you will be in the best hands, have the greatest experience and the most fun - that I am positive of!"

"I enjoyed every moment of time with tefl heaven. It was a great intro to tefl and was so much fun. I enjoyed teaching so much im planning to move to Thailand in july 2014 to take a 120hr Tefl and hopefully find work teaching. It was the 6 weeks with tefl heaven that has given me the confidence to try teaching on a more permenant basis."

"My time volunteering in Thailand was truly amazing. I was looking to go travelling, but I didn't want to spend all my time with other travellers in the busy places; I wanted to experience what it is like to live in a different culture on a day to day basis. I don't think you can truly know a place if you only spend a few days there. The volunteer program definitely gave me this opportunity. Living with a Thai family (who didn't speak English) for a month was very difficult, I wont lie! But their kindness and generosity made up for any communication problems we had. You just learn to get by communicating in ways other than talking. It really was a great learning curve for me. The training on Koh Chang was fun and supplied me with the tools to teach the children. However, when I arrived at the school I was simply told to teach them conversational skills! So I had the opportunity to create my own curriculum for the students, adapting it to age/ ability. This was very freeing and I enjoyed this, as from working in schools in England I know how rigid it is concerning what you teach the children. Thailand was so different! The training had a good balance of work (9-4 I think?) and freee time! So I had plenty of time to get to know the other 20 or so volunteers. This was very important, as when we reached our teaching placements we could all support each other. Especially as my family did not speak English, if the language barrier (or deep fried chicken heads) ever got to much too me I could go see the other volunteers staying 15 mins away. Even though I am raving about this experience, it is no way easy. You definitely get out what you put in. You need to be able to adapt to a new living environment for a month! I did find it really difficult, but that made it all the worthwhile once it finished. The teachers in my school also made it a lot easier, as they took me out every night to all the hot spots in Chiang Mai. I even met one of the trainees in a night club on a Wednesday night in the city, as I had gone out with some teachers... she was quite confused to see me. You will collect strange and bizarre stories as you go along. The support was great, as I could ring Chris and Prae at any time, however if I didn't need them they just let me get on with it. I found this refreshing, as I wanted to try and get by on my own, having as much fun as I could. They did not suffocate me but were definitely there when I needed them. As regards to safety, fun, benefits... that's really up to the individual. This trip is safe if you have common sense! It is fun if you make it. If you stay in all the time pining for your friends at home it would not be right for you. You have to get out and embrace it! It was very beneficial to me when I returned to England. I applied for a few teaching assistant jobs in schools (I'm aiming to train as a teacher) and I got the first one that I interviewed for. The volunteering experience really stood out on my CV and I had so much to talk about in the interview (they couldn't shut me up). It also gave me such a bright outlook on life, as Thai people are such smiley positive people it's hard for it not to rub off on you. So that's my review! Amazing experience, wouldn't change a thing, lots of ups and downs but I got through it in the end and I am proud of that. So if you have read this.. think you can deal with the great challenges as well as the fun you will have, just go for it! That's what I did and I wouldn't change a thing."

"Teaching in Thailand was amazing. The whole journey has opened my eyes and made me realise how different people live. I was able to experience Thai culture in such a different way, eating new foods, meeting new people, teaching in a Thai school and having a fantastic time. Memories that will stay with me for a long time. I was definitely out of my comfort zone and going alone was quite nerve racking but I wouldn't change it. I would do it all over again!"

"I would recommend that anyone interested in exploring and learning - about the world or yourself - should undertake the TEFL course. It profoundly changed my life and I still keep in contact with both students and volunteers. Teaching can seem daunting but you are valued by everyone throughout the experience and there is immense satisfaction after a lesson goes to plan! The TEFL team are excellent: great communicators, organisers and generally friendly people. A little about Thailand: the culture is very relaxed yet efficient and, it is no exaggeration that Thailand really is the Land of Smiles. I had a wonderful time throughout and hope others will too!"

"TEFL Heaven is a great opportunity to experience a lifestyle miles apart from what is the norm in the UK. The team in Thailand are hardworking and look to do whatever they can to make sure you are getting the most from the experience. The teaching in the schools is incredibly challenging and it is important to be as prepared as possible beforehand. To summarise, if you are looking for something to take you out of your comfort zone and you want to improve the educational opportunities for others this VTP proves very rewarding."

"I had the most amazing summer teaching in Thailand. It was an incredible experience for me as I was teaching a lot of the time in school. The training was really fun although perhaps a bit more time could have been given to ways of teaching and working with the anubaan and perhaps some tried and tested behaviour management strategies with Thai children. Overall a fantastic experience, and would recommend it to anyone interested in teaching and who fancies a challenge. I am hoping to get back in touch with the team once I qualify next year as a primary teacher, and perhaps take part in the 4 month experience. Thanks to all the team for this life changing experience, especially Nadine, Runwitt, Golf and Mike."

"I took a lot from my experience of teaching in Thailand and living within a very Thai cultured environment. I learnt a lot about myself over the weeks and met some very special people who will stay with me forever. Its not for the faint hearted and you have to be truly in it to take every grain you can from the adventure. You get so much more from your time there with something like TEFL heaven, rather than just doing the TEFL training, the time to live with a host family and a school teaching, it is so much more worth it than to do it alone. Thank you TEFL HEAVEN!"

"Would recommend it to anybody looking to do teaching in the future. Made great friends. Working in Thailand isn't exactly an opportunity that presents itself everyday and the teaching course gave me a great chance to see the beautiful country. Trainers were so helpful and made the experience so enjoyable. Gets 5 stars from me without a doubt!"

"TEFL Heaven is the most incredible thing Iíve done in my life so far. Although it is very hard to put into words, I can say that it was everything I expected it to be, but actually so much more than that. Living with a Thai family and teaching English in the local school is an extraordinary experience. To put it simply, adapting to the daily routine turned out to be a little disorienting at first, but in the end I would have given anything for it not to end. It is a special thing to live a different life, on a different planet for a few weeks. My host family were wonderful, as are most of the people in Thailand. Incredibly kind and welcoming, they laugh all the time and joke about everything. In addition to discovering the culture, traditions and everyday life of Thai people, I did elephant trekking, bamboo rafting, waterfalls, hanging out with tigers and a lot more unforgettable stuff! Oh and I also got to spend 10 days in paradise (aka Koh Chang training island)."
